SYDNEY CITY AND BEACHES BEER + BUBS – LUCY PERRY
Beer + Bubs workshops at the pub were founded by Lucy and Bruce Perry in 2004. After the birth of their first child, they realised that there was very little information for men as they prepared for their role in childbirth. There were lots of things that shocked Bruce, a commercial photographer by trade, at the birth of his first that didn’t phase him when he was there catching his second and third – things he wishes he had been prepared for the first time. Lucy is an experienced doula or birth attendant. She is the creator of online doula directory findadoula.com.au and is the author of Cheers to Childbirth: a dad's guide to childbirth support. Lucy presents the Sydney city and beaches sessions and co–ordinates Beer + Bubs nationally with the talented and vivacious group of childbirth educators detailed below.

SYDNEY SUTHERLAND SHIRE BEER + BUBS – VIRGINIA MADDOCK
Virginia is a doula, herbalist, nutritionist and a mother of two. She loves supporting couples throughout their journeys to parenthood and also spends much of her spare time volunteering in various roles for Homebirth Access Sydney. Virginia is so excited to help men learn how to support their women with confidence during the birth of their babies. She’s a long–time resident of the Shire and is currently on maternity leave.

NSW CENTRAL COAST BEER + BUBS – LISA KIM
Lisa is a qualified naturopath and a mother of two, whose passion for childbirth education is extended throughout her local community, as President of the Central Coast Maternity Coalition and as a calmbirth practitioner. Lisa has first hand experience and knowledge in regard to local birthing services on the Central Coast. She understands the important role that father’s play during pregnancy, labour and childbirth and is delighted to present Beer + Bubs on the Central Coast.

CANBERRA BEER + BUBS – STAY TUNED FOR A NEW PRESENTER IN CANBERRA

BENDIGO, GEELONG AND MELBOURNE SOUTH BEER + BUBS: RACHAEL MCLEOD
Rachael McLeod presents Beer + Bubs in South Melbourne and in her original home town of Bendigo, Victoria. She has two children and is an experienced doula with more than 70 births under her belt. Rachael is a qualified childbirth educator, hypnobirth and Reiki practitioner.

NORTH MELBOURNE (BRUNSWICK) BEER + BUBS: ALEXIS TARRAN
Alexis Tarran is a mother of three and a student midwife. Her husband Jay attended Beer + Bubs when they were expecting their third baby. After two Caesareans, Jay and Alexis were hoping for a natural birth so Jay was sent off to the local pub prepare for his role. Alexis says that the session had such a profound impact on Jay that she wanted to spread the program to the Brunswick area!

EAST MELBOURNE BEER + BUBS: FELICITY CUPITT
Felicity Cupitt is a mother of two and an experienced Calm Birth practitioner in Melbourne. She presents Beer + Bubs in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

TASMANIA BEER + BUBS: SARAH BEHRMANN
Sarah is a mother of two young children, is an experienced doula and childbirth educator and is the creator of Sacred Birth Yoga in Tasmania. She sees first-hand how a well-informed bloke can better support his woman through birth and is passionate about helping them to do so with confidence and sensitivity. The journey into parenthood, including birth, is a joyous one!

ADELAIDE BEER + BUBS: HELEN HRISKIN + PAULA BRUCKARD
Helen (left) has over 12 years experience as a doula, childbirth educator, speaker, publisher and mother of seven. Yes, seven! Paula, mother of two, is a yoga teacher, doula. Together they are a great team and were part of the foundation group of women to launch Adelaide’s Beautiful Birth Festival. They were the very first childbirth educators to spread the Beer + Bubs brand beyond Sydney and are treasured by the expectant dads of Adelaide.

ALICE SPRINGS BEER + BUBS: CORRINE PHILLIPS
Corrine Phillips is an Alice Springs local and mother of one with one on the way.
She is an experienced midwife and is particularly enthusiastic about seeing men empowered to support their partner and enjoy the pregnancy, birth and parenting.

PERTH BEER + BUBS: KRISTIN BECKEDAHL
Kristin is a childbirth educator, doula, naturopath and mother of two. Her naturopathic practice focuses on women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and postnatal health. She also runs active birth workshops and attends births as a doula. Kristin has experienced firsthand through her own births just how useful, confident and important men can be during the birth process if they’re given the practical knowledge they need. Kristin presents with enthusiasm and experience!

BUNBURY + PEEL BEER + BUBS: CARRINA BRADBURY
Carrina Bradbury is a doula, childbirth educator, family therapist and social worker. She has always lived in the South West of WA, where she works and raises her three young children. Highly experienced in parent support and education, she has a history of working with families from all ages, stages and circumstances. She is particularly passionate about the involvement of men and fathers in all aspects of family life... especially birth! She quite likes a good West Australian sauvignon blanc.

BRISBANE BEER + BUBS: SHARON ARMSTRONG
Sharon is a child health consultant, child birth educator and mum. She has a passion for empowering couples and supporting them to make informed choices. Sharon has just sat the International Lactation Consultants Exam and part owns Embrace Life, a family health and wellness centre in Brisbane’s northern suburbs.

SUNSHINE COAST BEER + BUBS: LIBBY GREGG
Libby Gregg is a mother of three, a registered nurse, midwife, lactation consultant and childbirth educator with 11 years experience as a professional in the world of birth. Libby works in the birth suites at Nambour General Hospital on the Sunshine Coast catching babies all day and all night. She is the latest addition to the Beer + Bubs team!
